CRH Foundation Purchases On-Demand Patient Education System

The Crittenden Regional Hospital Foundation announced it has purchased a new web-based patient education system for the hospital and its patients from funds raised during the 2009 Annual Giving Campaign.

With the Krames On-Demand system, each patient can receive a comprehensive printed copy of pertinent information upon discharge. This allows patients to remember recovery instructions and follow-up appointments, better understand their treatment and enables them to make more informed health care decisions.

The website application allows the community to utilize the Krames library as a link through the hospital’s website, www.crittendenregional.org. The information is written using easy, straightforward terms and has clear illustrations, making it easy to understand.

“We are thrilled to offer this education system to our patients and families at Crittenden Regional Hospital and to the entire community,” said Donna Lanier, Vice President of Patient Care Services. “The system is accessible, easy to use and can provide information related to more than 2,300 medical conditions and more than 1,800 medications.”
