The Crittenden Regional Hospital Foundation today announced a recent grant to the hospital’s Home Health service, which was used in the purchase of new medical equipment. The recent grant, totaling approximately $5,530, funded the purchase of three pro-time machines, which analyze blood results, and 11 finger pulse oximeters, which assess patient oxygen levels. The new equipment will give Home Health nurses access to immediate blood test results, which in the past have been sent to an independent lab and, sometimes, delayed for up to five days. “We’re thrilled with the recent grant from the Crittenden Regional Hospital Foundation, as it will make our program and nurses even more efficient,” said Cheryl Beene, director of quality management for Home Health. “We’re looking forward to being able to better serve all of our patients with the addition of this equipment and to offering a better quality of care overall.” The Crittenden Regional hospital Home Health program services the northeast Arkansas area from three offices located in West Memphis, Forrest City and Marked Tree. The Home Health program serves approximately 250 patients per day, on average.
